the fulfilled dreams with "Light & Belief" scholarships

13 years of Light & Belief scholarships - nurturing the dreams for unfortunate children, some dreams have been fulfilled.
"When I got the scholarship, I was determined to go to college that I have never thought before. The school is so wide, the volunteers are university students, everyone is enthusiastic and cute. "- Said Nguyen Tri Tinh who was awarded the first scholarship of "Light & Belief" at University Hall 3 years ago.Tinh is a vocational teacher and psychological counselor at Nhat Hong 1 shelter (Thu Duc district) after receiving a good degree in psychology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City.
Despite many welcoming paths, Tinh just wanted to return to the cradle he had been carrying. In free time, he tutored the math, chemistry for the blind children.
His eyes have not been visible from a young age. He went to school in a poor countryside in Long Xuyen, An Giang to grade 5. He was worried to be dropped out because most of the blind kids did not study to high school but went to massage, sell lottery tickets to earn a living. Then his parents sent him to Nhat Hong 1 selter. He achieved good academic results and was selected to be awarded Light and Belief scholarship for several years.
Currently, Tinh is studying English to apply for scholarships abroad. "When I received the scholarship, I felt very surprised and honored, everyone's concern was the motivation for me to try to learn. Whenever I felt lazy, I remember the encouragement people give me, I told myself to try more ".
Nguyen Thi Duc Dung, the young manager of Nhat Hong Shelter 2 (Binh Thanh District) reminded Hoang Vinh Tam every time. Tam was born in Dinh Quan, Dong Nai Province. When playing with other kids, a boom was suddenly boomed that made hime lost his eyes and five fingers. He insisted on joining Nhat Hong for continuing learning.
For three consecutive years, Tam has received scholarships from the program. Tam has fulfilled his education dream by graduating from the foreign language major of the Open University of Ho Chi Minh City and now he is studying law in Malaysia.
